"Dad," Scott said, peering through his telescope (a gift from his father on their first Christmas together). "I see a fast-moving Blip coming right in our direction!" "That's a BLUE LIGHTS Info Pulse, Scott," the Starman replied with a smile. "It's something new under the sun, and we'll be seeing a lot of them soon." A blue halo surrounded the object as it streaked through the heavens, glowing with energy inherited from its distinguished lineage. Entering Earth's atmosphere, its brilliance shone like a spotlight on STARMAN fans around the planet. "Awesome," the Starchild declared. "Totally awesome!" |

BLIP, the successor to BABY BLUE LIGHTS, debuted in summer of 1999. Edited by Chuck Simoncini and Bruce Jividen, it's the new supplement to the BLUE LIGHTS newsletterzine. Besides supplementing BL, it promised to take the BLUE LIGHTS franchise into cyberspace, offering BLIP in an online format in addition to the print version. It's taken awhile, but this web page finally realizes that dream! BLIP features new columns in addition to BLUE LIGHTS news and updates: "What Would STARMAN Think?" will be our chance to share what we think our favorite alien's opinion would be on a subject. "How STARMAN Hooked Me" and "My Favorite STARMAN moment" offer viewer opinions about their personal favorites. The "Episode Mini-Focus" is a brief insider's view of a particular episode, and "Classic BLUE LIGHTS" takes us back to the early days of BL. (Can you believe we've been doing this for, uh, more than 15 years now?!) BLIP is included with your BLUE LIGHTS subscription. Please see the BL Page for details. While the online version of BLIP contains the same content as the printed version, the layout, formatting, fonts, etc. are different from the printed version. We have done this because fonts are not universal and there are other difficulties associated with converting printed matter into a webpage. We're working on it! And now (fanfare, please)...we present BLIP #1! BLIP #1 CONTENTS
